Most tools you learn by poking at them. Knogra mostly works that way too — but there are a few moves that aren’t obvious from looking at the screen, and once you know them the rest falls into place quickly.
This post collects short video tutorials for exactly those moves. No power-user tricks, no clever workflows — just the basics: how to put a node on the canvas, how to connect it to something, how to move between scenes, and how to find the commands hiding behind the context menu.
It’s a series. New videos will be added to this page as they’re recorded, so it’s worth bookmarking rather than watching once.
1. Your first steps
The opening video: from an empty graph to a small working one. Creating your first node, adding a neighbour, connecting the two, and stepping into another scene to see how the view reorganises itself around wherever you are. It also shows where the context menu lives — the single most useful thing to know early on, because almost every command in Knogra can be reached from it.
Your first steps with Knogra — nodes, edges, scenes, and the context menu.
Follow along in the app rather than just watching. Open app.knogra.io, start a new graph, and repeat each step as it happens — the muscle memory matters more than the explanation.
More on the way
The next videos in the series will cover the everyday work that follows: shaping scenes, laying out nodes, styling what matters, and using the AI assistant to fill a graph out faster than you could by hand. They’ll appear here as they’re published.
If something in the videos is unclear, or there’s a basic topic you’d like covered, tell us — the series is being built around what people actually get stuck on.
